Job Description
Receptionist Floater
Our client is a network of clinics in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire providing medical, dental, mental health, and substance use services is looking for a Contract Floater Receptionist offering $23.77 per hour to support their 20 locations in the Los Angeles area. As a critical part of patient experience and satisfaction, you will manage appointments, handling billing questions, and address patient needs with empathy and professionalism. Willing to train!
Schedule may vary, must be able to travel clinic to clinic as requested by the Director of Clinic Operation or Clinic Manager.
Clinic Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00pm
Evening coverage as needed 11:00 - 7:30pm
Saturdays 1-2X per Month 7:00 - 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Meets and greets patients; announces, directs, and/or escorts to the appropriate area
Process Patient Registration and Input patient information and demographics into the computer system
Maintain patient flow and reduce waiting time as much as possible
Answer, screen, and direct calls on a multi-line phone system; takes detailed messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate practitioner
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations, ensuring patient privacy and data security
May perform receptionist and/or routine clerical duties such as filling out forms, answering telephones, filing, ordering and maintaining supplies, and arranging equipment maintenance for example
May handle billing, and collection of co-payments and/or fees and donations
Required Qualifications
Ability to travel to different clinic locations which are located in a 20 mile radius around Los Angeles
1+ Years of experience in Customer Service
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a positive and friendly attitude
You enjoy working with a diverse population and providing excellent customer service
Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
Proficient Microsoft Office.
High School or GED
Proof of COVID-19 updated vaccination within the last 12 months
CPR certification
MMR Vaccines (two vaccines/titers), Immunization Records, or Waiver
TDAP within 10 years or Waiver
Flu Shot within 1 year or Waiver
Hepatitis B Series (three vaccines/titers) or Immunization Records
