Here's an opportunity to join a highly rated Hospital in San Diego as a Clinical Lab ScientistPay Rate: $49 - $50 per hour Schedule: 7 pm - 7:30 am; Days will rotate Duration: 13 weeks, minimum. Extensions with long-term FTE potential. Experience: 2 years, minimum — ideal candidate will have blood bank experience
Responsibilities
Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify your immediate supervisor, Director, or Medical Director.
Ability to provide independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory.
Documentation
Maintain accuracy in patient results and reporting
Recognize age specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics.

CA state license
Minimum of 2 years hospital laboratory work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489).
ASCP certification, or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience: 1 Year current Blood Bank experience highly preferred
